Leap in Faith
Leap in Faith
Leap in Faith weeks developed as a result of the comment “I want to do something different with RE”.
Leap in Faith is a whole week (or part week), whole school (or year groups) event, again focusing on Christian elements of the RE syllabus or one of the Christian festivals. Like Question of Faith, the week includes stories, quizzes, games, music, drama, craft work, challenges and treasure hunts. Themes have included: -
- Linked to SEAL – New beginnings, Bullying, Feeling good about me and Helping others, along with ‘The Christian Story’, Christmas, Easter and Pentecost.
- In the 2009/10 academic year, SCM delivered 6 Leap in Faith weeks in three different schools.
- Both Question of Faith days and Leap in Faith weeks are cross curricular and often touch on
- Literacy, Numeracy, Art, Geography, History, Drama, PE and sometimes Music.
All of these days / weeks are tailor-made to individual schools in discussion with staff, taking into consideration team size, special needs, space availability and time table.
