Majority of our income comes from individuals and church communities giving us regular donations. We also apply for some funding and grants from charitable trusts and local government.
We have two full time staff members and three part time staff plus about 100 volunteers who do everything from making food parcels, van driving and schools work to admin support. As well as wages and volunteer expenses we have a van to keep running, schools materials to buy, office rent and all of the usual running costs of a small charity. We are very grateful to all of our church partners who host our Basics Banks as they all give us the rooms and utilities for free thereby saving us more than £20,000 which it was costing us to rent our own Basics Bank premises.
£ 50.00 – goes towards the cost of a Question of Faith RE day
£ 25.00 – enables us to feed a family of 4 for 5 days
£ 10.00 – goes towards the cost of an assembly
£ 5.00 – enables us to feed one person for 5 days

If you are a tax payer and you fill out a Gift Aid form for us we can claim an extra 25% back from the government to help with the work of the Mission. For a Gift Aid form, please contact the SCM office and we will mail a paper copy out to you.
