BABY banks

We are pleased to partner with several organisations around the city to help provide various free baby supplies to those in need. Different projects provide various types of items and support and have separate referral criteria:

SCM Clothes Basics Bank

Using the normal Basics Bank online referral system, referral agents can send clients to the SCM Clothes Bank. This can be on the same e-voucher that entitles them to food or a separate clothes only voucher.

Once at the Clothes Bank clients can ‘shop’ for themselves, browsing the rails for the clothes they need for themselves and their children. The clothes bank stock includes a large range of baby clothes to select from of excellent quality.

Baby Equipment Bank

The new Baby Equipment Bank at “Oasis of Life Church” takes referrals from agencies in contact with people who need help with obtaining baby equipment. The project works on the same basis as the SCM Basics Bank – taking in equipment as donations from the public, cleaning and storing it before giving it away for free to those in need.

How to refer

If you have service users who could benefit from this project, you can refer them directly to the Baby Equipment Bank by:

- Emailing a request, enquiring if they have the required equipment in stock, to babyequipment@rccgsouthampton.org

- Telephoning: 07879 236456 (Checked and answered Mondays 10:30 to 15:30) with your request

Where and When?

Parking is available right outside the building. There is a lounge area, with free refreshments and toddler toys, for clients to chat and wait while the equipment is brought out to them. Referral agents can collect equipment on behalf of clients by arrangement.
